Terms of Service
Effective 6 November 2026 · Version 2026-11-06
These terms govern your use of the MPS Urban London Officer Portal. By signing in you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the portal.
1. About the portal
The portal is provided by MPS Urban London (the “Community”, “we”, “us”) to support a fictional policing roleplay community. All ranks, collar numbers, units, operations and appraisals on the portal are part of that roleplay.
The Community and this portal are not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to the Metropolitan Police Service, the Mayor’s Office for Policing and Crime, the Home Office or any real police force or government body. Nothing on the portal is an official police record, and you must not present it as one.
2. Eligibility and accounts
- You must be a member in good standing of our Discord server and meet Discord’s minimum age and any age requirement set by the Community.
- You sign in with your own Discord account. Do not share your account or let anyone else use your session.
- You must give accurate roleplay details (collar, rank, role and line manager) and keep them up to date.
3. Confidentiality
Information on the portal is classified Official – Sensitive within the roleplay. You must not copy, screenshot, publish or share directory entries, appraisals or submissions outside the Command team, except where this is needed to do your job and is allowed by People & Culture.
4. Acceptable use
You must not:
- enter real-world personal information (yours or anyone else’s), such as real names, addresses, phone numbers, photos or health details;
- write appraisals or submissions that are abusive, discriminatory, harassing, sexual, or that target a member outside roleplay;
- give knowingly false ratings or evidence, or appraise yourself or an officer you do not line manage;
- try to access pages, data or roles you are not authorised for, probe for vulnerabilities, scrape the portal or interfere with its operation;
- impersonate another member or a real police officer or official.
5. Appraisals
Appraisals are written by line managers, reviewed by People & Culture and then released to the officer. Officers can add a comment when they acknowledge an appraisal. Appraisal outcomes may inform roleplay promotion and role decisions. If you disagree with an appraisal, speak to your line manager first and then People & Culture.
6. Content you submit
You keep responsibility for what you submit. You allow the Community to store, display and process it to run the portal, as described in the Privacy Policy. People & Culture may edit status, return, archive or delete submissions that break these terms.
7. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or remove your access at any time if you break these terms or the Community’s rules, or leave the Community. You can stop using the portal at any time and ask for your data to be deleted.
8. Availability and liability
The portal is provided free of charge, “as is”, for a hobby community. We do not guarantee it will always be available or error-free. To the extent the law allows, the Community is not liable for any loss arising from your use of the portal. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
9. Changes
We may update these terms. We will post changes here and, for significant changes, ask you to accept them again when you next sign in.
10. Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Contact us by opening a ticket with People & Culture on our Discord server.
